EMPIRE PICTURE COMPANY.
The weekly visits of the above company are always looked forward to with pleasure by lovers of iroving pictures,* nig! t, or, as it is more generally termed,''Picture Nig2jrt,"-is now earmarked by a very>'large number, as a night set aside for an evening's enjoyment and instruction at the Town Hall. On Tuesday night the programme presented was, as usual of a highclass nature, and the different pictures shown with a clearness and steadiness that made it a pleasure to look at them. One of the best things was a pretty picture drama entitled "The Judgment of the Mighty Deep," the natural colouring of the ocean, the beautiful beach, and the absorbing plot appealing to the audience, and .eliciting loud applause. All the items were interesting and amusing. On Tuesday evening next a monster programme is to be shown as advertised. Tuesday night should see a large attendance at this ; popular exhibition.
