KAWA DRAINAGE BOARD.

The regular monthly meeting of the Kawa Drainage Board was held at the office of the Board in Te Awamutu on Saturday, April 22nd. There . were present : Messrs G. Kay (chairman), J. B. Teasdale, A. Bertram, and D. M. Ross.

The minutes of former meeting were duly read and confirmed, after which the chairman reported that the work of draining the swamp was making satisfactory progress. It requires but another two weeks to carry the drainage through the eel weirs. It was decided to continue the work of drainage above the railway, the work either to be done by contract or an additional gang of men to be put on.
