Amateur Dramatic Performance.
Next Thursday the Waipawa Amateur Dramatic Club will stage what is justly regarded as one of the prettiest comediettas ever written, Broughton’s “ Withered Leaves.” The play has been diligently rehearsed for some time, and those entrusted with the portrayal of the various characters may be relied upon to give a good account of themselves. The comedietta affords scope for effective scenery, wHioh will be availed of. “ The Turkish Bath ” will also be presented for the approval of theatre goers, and those who believe in the adage “ Laugh and grow fat ” should not miss the opportunity of seeing it. Judging by the booking, a crowded house should greet the performers. Those who wish to secure seats should do so before tomorrow night, for no reserved seat tickets will be sold at the doors.
