The Plague.
[By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] (United Press Association.) SYDNEY, Yesterday. Fresh cases are :—William Bocksey, Balmain ; Fred Clements,George-street; a boy named Collis, Coast Hospital. A deputation of business people from one of the released areas asked the Premier for compensation for trade losses caused by quarantining. At the same time thoy considered tho Government had done the right thing. Mr Lyne promised to doal with the matter when the plague matters are straightened up. He believed tho ratepayers would not object to meeting a portion of tho losses. There is another case, Henry M'Donough, St. Peter’s. MELBOURNE, Yesterday. Cats have been found suffering from the plague in Flinders-lane, where rats suffering from the disoase were previously caught. The mother of the Geelong victim has developed the plague. ROCKHAMPTON, Yesterday. There is a further case, that of a girl named Conolly and two other suspicious cases. (Received 9.25 a.m.) LAUNCESTON, This day. A recent arrival at Gormanston, from Sydney, has developed supposed plague symptoms.
