Commonwealth Bill.
(Per Eleotric Telegraph—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) (Received 1.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 14. The Hon. J. Chamberlain in a two hours’ speech introducing the Commonwealth Bill, said the Bill marked an era in the history of Australia and was a great, and important step in the organisation of the Empire, simplifying and rendering more cordial and more unrestricted the relations of the colonies and the motherland, and was a monument of legislative competency. He lauded the late Sir Henry Parkes, Sir Samuel Griffith and Mr Barton’s federation efforts.
