THE STOCK MARKET. At Pohangina there was a fair entry of oattle, but only two or three pens of sheep, owing to the bad weather. There was a fair attendance, and good prioes were realised for cattle. At Fahiatua there was a very large attendance, and the bulk of tbe stock being of good quality, it was well oompeted for, and nearly everything sold under the hammer, though in some cases very stiff prioes were expected by vendors. Young steers and sound sheep were keenly competed for ; dairy stook was scarcely so muoh in demand ns at reeent sales Pohangina—Cattle—Fat cows £3 10s, forward cows £2 5s to £2 17s 6d, dairy cows, £3 Is to £3 Bs, heifers in calf, £2 15s to £3 19s, 18 month and 2 year steerß £2 to £2 13s, 2 year heifers 31s to £2 7s 6d, forward bullocks £4 7s 6d. Sheep—Empty ewes 7s 9d. Pigs—sow in pig £2 ss, weanerß 12s. Pahiatua—Cattle : Forward bullocks £4 7s 6d to £4 10s ; store bullocks £4 to £4 Is sd, 21 and 3 year steers £3 8s 6d to £4, 2 to 21 year do, £3 to £3 Bs, 18 month to 2 year steers £2 to £2 11s, yearling to 18 months 36s 6d to £2 Is, yearling steers 35s 6d, weanerß 20s to 265, fat cows £3 to £4 2s 6d, store cows in calf £2 7s 6d to £2 13s, springing heifers £2 15s, to £4 7s 6d. Sheep—Fat wethers 13s 3d to 13s sd, forward do, 12s 2d to 12s 6d, 2 tooth do, 12s 3d to 12s lOd, store wethers 11s 3d to 12s 3d, 2 and 4tooth ewes 8s 7d, forward ewes 7s 8d to 8s 4d, store do, 3s 8d to 5s Bd, ewes in lamb 7s 3d to 10s 3d, fat ewes 10s, small lambs 5s Bd.
