The Tekapo Wreck

LATER PARTICULARS. (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH-COPYRIGHT) (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) (Received 2 55 pm.) SYDNEY, Thia day A Preaa Association representative reached the scene of the wreck this morning and found tbe Tekapo with her fore part fast on the rooks, just inside the south bead of the Marouba Bay. The wreoked vessel went ashore daring a dome fog between 3 and 4 o'clock this morning. She is now standing upright with tan feet of water in t or fore part on the rocks. Her nose is high and dry at low water with deep water on both sides. Her bottom appears badly damaged. Some dates on the port side are ripped open. Her forehold ia partially filled with water. The vessel is otherwise dry. Five tags are standing by. As the vessel ii ashore at low tide it is expected that she will float when tbe tide makea thia afternoon.
