(Per Proas Association) Wellington, This day Tbo Appeal Coort delivered its Mlsidered judgment thie morning in the oase ralating to tha filing of affidsriti attacking Judge Edwards. Tha Gout held that nothing short of direct pecuniary interest will disqualify e Judge of the Supreme Court from adjadfoeting on i oase. Alleged prejadioe or bias, net arising from a direct pecuniary interest is no ground for disqnelifiottion. If i Judge shows partiality, the remtdy list It the only prooeduro recognised in !n|land, namely, tbe removal of the Judge by the Qusen, or by a resolution of both Houses of Pnrliement. In the present oaeo the Court was of opinion that 11' Jclliooe had been gailty of contempt tl Court and serious professional miaeoadorf. with which, however, they oonld not diet in the present application. Tha aOdaril wae ordered to .be removed from the fib as aoandalona and impertinant, bat is k be retained by the Registrar antil I further order of the Court and tha altsad 1 anoe of Mr Jelliooe personally. Ha ww ordered to pay ten guineas oosts.
