At the Supreme Court yesterday the Grand Jury returned true bills in the cases of Karl Hellstrom, charged with theft (two counts), and theft from a dwelling; Henry Herbert, charged with theft from a vessel; and William Blaas, alias Johnston, charged with theft; King v. Thomas Fitzgerald, arson (two charges); King v. Reginald Brooking Tatton, assault, causing actual bodily harm; King v. John Chappell, carnally knowing a girl under 15; and King v. Rini, perjury. The Grand Jury made a presentment to His Honor recommending flogging in cases of indecent assaults on children of tender years. His Honor replied that it was hard fto know what to do with thejaccused in these cases, but at all events flogging could be tried in deserving cases.
