The Farmers’ Union.

By Telegraph. —Press Association Hawera, Last Night.

The provincial conference of the Taranaki Farmers’ Union was continued today, and amongst the more important resolutions carried were the following:—

1, That a protest be made against any export duties on farm produce.

2. That continued resistance be offered to a referendum on a Fair Rent Bill and alteration to a local bodies’ franchise. 3. That the conference is in favour of universal military training, and an increased contribution to the upkeep of the navy. 4. That the abolition of the Conciliation Board be favoured.
