Death of Mrs R. F. Sandes.

It is with great regret that we record the death of Mrs Sandes, wife of Mr R. F. Sandes, of Hamilton, which took place yesterday. The deceased lady has-been very seriously ill for some months, subsequent to undergoing an operation, which proved only partially successful. The late Mrs Sandes was one of the earliest residents in Hamilton, where she arrived with her husband and family in the early seventies. The deceased lady for many years took a leading part in social matters. Her suave manner and kindly disposition made her a great favourite with her friends and acquaintances. Mrs Sandes was also an earnest worker in the interests of the Anglican Church, and bore her full share of supporting her church in its early days. She leaves to mourn her loss a widower and a grown-up family of four daughters, who have our sincere sympathy, and, we are sure, that of a very large circle of fr ends.
