Croquet.
The Cambridge Club held an "At Home" on the lawns yesterday, when there was a large attendance of members and their friends. The president, Mr Charles Hunter, presented the trophies won during the season. In the American Handicap Tournament, Grade A. fell to Mrs A. Bell and Mrs A. W. Gane, the former having 8 wins to her credit, and the latter 6. Grade B. was won by Miss Mauri Roberts, who scored 8 wins; Mrs Chailes Roberts being second with -1 wins. The club championship gold medal was won by Mrs A. J. Edmunds. A number of competitions were played during the afternoon, in which a great number took part, the "break" competition being won by Mrs Edmunds, and "two hoops" competitions were won respectively by Miss Irving' and Miss Howard. The committee of ladies dispensed afternoon tea, etc., in a lavish manner,and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
