Alleged Criminal Assault.

By Telegraph.—Press Association Auckland, This Day.

The case against Richard Dyason, chief officer of the steamer Navua, of alleged criminal assult was resumed yesterday. At the conclusion of the evidence Mr Kettle S.M., expressed the opinion that the girl's account was grossly exaggerated. Some of the evidence showed that something had taken place between accused and the girl. Mr Sharpies, counsel for the accused, did not put his client into the box. He submitted that the girl's account was utterly incredible. The magistrate said he would give his decision on Thursday.
