Dissatisfied Unionists.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. A special meeting of the Canterbury Tanners' and Fellmongers' Union was held on Saturday evening to receive the award of the Arbitration Court in the recent dispute. One hundred and thirty three members were present. Strong comments were made by members upon the award, which was characterised as the most biassed and prejudiced ever delivered by the Arbitration Court. Suggestions were made that the Union should declare a strike and call a meeting to consider the cancellation of the Union's registration. Ultimately the following resolution was passed:—"That this Union has absolutely no faith in the administration of the Arbitration Act, has no confidence in the President of the Arbitration Court, and urges upon the Minister for Labour the necessity of dispensing with the services of Judge Sim in favour of another less biassed and prejudiced." A committee was appointed to give effect to this resolution.
