TO THE CHAIRMRN AND Ml-M-S BERS OF THE SCHOOL COMMITTKES OF THE AUCKLAND EDUCATION DISTRICT. Deae Sirs, — I beg to inform you that I am a Candidate for a seat on the Board of Education at the forthcoming Election of three members. For the past thirty-five years I have been a resident in the country districts, and during that time I was for many years a member of School Committees, so that I am conversant with the requirements of Country Schools. I have also been a member of various local bodies in Waikato, and occupied the position of Mayor of Hamilton during the year 1899-1900. I may therefore claim that I have experience in the conduct of public business. If elected I Bhall do my?utmost to promote the interests of Education in the District generally, and to secure to our country settlers the greatest (possible facilities for educating their children.
