Wrdnesday.—Before Mr H. W. Northcroft, S.M. civrii cases. Aobin v. Coe: This was a claim for £36 0s lid for goods supplied. Mr Swarbrick appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Collins for the defendant, who gave notice of special defence, stating that the claim was barred by the Statute of Limitations.' After hearing counsel on either side the Magistrate said he would not allow the special plea. Judg* merit was given for £34 15s Sd, and costs £4 14s. Dawson v. Bain, of Kawhia : Claim, £1 Bs. Judgment for amount claimed and costs, ss. Mr Swarbrick appeared for plaintiff. Dawson v.. Te Abau : Claim, £1 Is. Judgment for amount claimed and costs 10s. DESTROYING A DCO. Geo. O'Connell, of Piriaka, was charged with wilfully destroying a collie dog, valued at £ls 15s, the property of Edward Noble. Mr J. R. Reed appeared for the prosecution, and the defendant appeared in person. After hearing the evidence, the Magistrate dismissed the information, there being no evidence to show that the animal was destroyed wilfully.
