I bave also been a member of various local bodies in Waikato, and occupied the position of Mayor of Hamilton during the year 1899-1900. I may therefore claim that I have experience in the conduct of public business. If elected I shall do myjutmost to promote the interests of Education in the Dißtriot generally, and to secure to our country settlers the greatest {possible facilities for educating their children.
