For the past thirty-6ve years I have been a resident in the country districts, and during that time I was for maDy years a member, of School Committees, so that I am ' conversant with the requirements of Country Schools. I have also been a member of various local bodies in Waikato, and occupied the position of Mayor of Hamilton during the year 1899-1900. I may therefore claim that I have experience in the conduct of public business. If elected I shall do myfutmost to promote the interests of Education in the District generally, and to secure to our country settlers the greatest [possible facilities for educating their children. I shall also endeavour to extendf.the advantages of Technical Education in Agriculture and otherwise as far as possible. Yours truly, GEO.
