A week or tp'o ago we published a short article dealing with the future of Raglan, in which we stated that with the establishment of the milk industry, theie was. likely to be considerable improvement in the town and its surroundings, where things have been stationary fornnny yeats. There is yet another improvement to record, It is rumour* d that a paper will started there at mi early date under the editorship and managership of a well-known Waikato journalist, who at all events is Sanguine as to the capabilifes of that district, Drunkenness, once common in ail ranks of society, is ’ no longer good manners. If Mr Pickwick in oiir day were to lunch so copiously upon milkpunch as to become somnolent and incoherant, he would ho regarded as a somewhat disreputab’e old gentleman.
