Not many dairy cows were offered, but grown stceis and young stock were fairly represented. '1 Imre Wts a better tone in Die market, mu bidding was brisker (with an upward tendency) than has been for some time ast, grown steers selling freely at an advane or/late quotations. Thu following are the prices : Dairy cows, £5 ; springing heifers, £3 7s 6d ; 3-year-old steers, in fair condition, £6 to £6 6t ; steers calves, 26s to 27s ; empty heihrs, good quality, £3 19a ; 18-moniha-stcers, £•> IPs to £3 7s : yearlings, mixed sexes, £2 5s ; empty cows, in fresh condition, £4 IDs; fat steers, from £8 to £8 15s ; small fat heifers, £4 Is ; fat cows, £5.
