CAMBRIDGE DOMAIN.

A meeting of the Board was held in the Domain grounds at 5 a.m. yesterday, when there were present : Messrs T, Wells (chairman), W. F. Buoklaud, Jim. Ferguson, and Dr. Roberts. The members visited every part of tho LakeReserve, and discussed the advisability of abandoning some of the existmg flower beds, and laying them do ah in grass. It was finally resolved to abandon several of the beds which the roots of I ho large trees had penetrated, and mass the flow'ers in those remaining. Mr Bncklund suggested the Board should got information re anew mowing machine to he drawn by a pony, which he believed would relieve the caretaker of more than half the work of keeping the grounds in order.— The clerk was instructed to get the necessary particulars. The caretaker received instructions rc the keeping of the grounds -in better order, and the members then went homo to breakfast.
