Ak§ i fforw has been made to clear the debt on the Waiugaro hall, and has resulted in its reduction to £lO. A harmonium has also been bought and placed in it. Mrs Picket), who is a good judge, was deputed to choose the instrument on tier last visit to Auckland, and Mr S. L. Wilson brought it out from Ngaruawahia in one of his traps free of charge. Ou the 23rd nit. a poll was supposed to be advertised, to be taken in tbe Raglan County on the rating on unimproved value, but in one of tbe ridings no poll was taken, Notwithstanding this, tbe Raglan County Council have declared the proposal carried. A movement is on foot to get the poll declared void.—(Own Correspondent).
