COUPON ABOLITION BILL PASSED. VOTE OF CENSURE IN THE GOVERNMENT. Melbourne, November 22. The State Parliament passed the Coupon Abolition Bill. The leader of the Opposition in tho State Parliament is expected to move a vote of censure on the Government next week. In the Federal House Mr McMillan moved a reduction in the duty on bacon and hams from threepence to twopence. Mr Smalley (Tasmania) suggested reciprocity with New Zealand. The Hon. C. Kingston said ho would be delighted to see New Zealand in the Federation. If New Zealand approached the Federal Government they would gladly assist to bring about more intimate relations between that colony and the Commonwealth. The amendment was negatived.
