MONTGOMERY’S COMPANY.
This show, which appeals here on Wed nesday and Thursday next, is certainly_ one of the most popular that comes this way. For a night’s amusement; Montgomery’s is hard to beat. The programme includes new brtists, new songs, new sonsalional novelties, and new big specialities for the Bioscope. These are described in elaborate and piocmetque nets, flashes of comedy, thrilling scenes. Not a dull moment, something happens all the time in some bran new up-to-date features. ‘Joan of Arc,’ I,oooft long, takes twenty minutes to show, and it portrays the life, triumphs, and tragic end of the ‘ Maid of Orleans.’ Over 500 people were encaged in the production ; it is the best historical and spectecular film yet produced. The new Mexican Bull Fight is taken with a revolving camera, so that not for a moment are the movements of the bull lost to view. The fight is shown from start to finish, from the grand entry of the bull fighters to ilie death of the bull and the plaudits of the assembled multitude. The concert norlion includes the very latest American and English successes, given by Mr Ed. Montgomery, and will be illustrated by beautiful views. Mr Peter Fde has some real good sketches, Fred Gibson will give his popular coon specialities, and Harry Hall all the latest comic songs, and dances.
