FRISCO MAIL SERVICE

CABLEGRAMS.

[united press association] [liY ELECTi'.IC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT

Sydney, October 19. In connection with the remarks of tbo Queensland Premier re ’Frisco service, a statement is published here that in the event of New Zealand deciding to subsidise the Canadian line Queensland will be offered the Oceanic. As that State would lose the Canadian line if this is assented to, probably the Federal Government would agree to the substitution if Queensland recommended it as an inducement for the change. It is pointed out that the AmericanEuglish mails are delivered about three days quicker via Brisbane than via New Zealand.
