FATAL ACCIDENTS.
A MINER KILLED AT WAIHI.
(by telegraph—press association) Waihi, This Day. A miner named Jas. Carter, contracting iu the Waihi mine, was accidentally killed by a collapse cf ground while working in the entire lode. Deatli was instantaneous. Auckland, This Day. The two-year-old child of Mr Lindsay, of Kukereuui, died from the effects of burning caused by playing with matches. Dunedin, This Day. Wm. Grounds, child of six years, was run over by a train at Hmover-street and cut in two. The driver saw him, but was unable to pull up in time.
