We started the sewn with a debt of £2l 5s Id to clear of! instead of a credit balance. In 1900 there were 6*2 subscribers, repiescnting £7B 11s and in 1901 85 members repu-ssniini: £lO3 12s, bei--g 23 more subscribers, and £25 Is more money. In addition there are
donations amounting to £ll So, making total £lls. The two entertainments, given at the time of Messrs MoMicol’s special horse sale, realised £35 16s 6J, and the expenses were £l3 8s o<l, leaving a net gain of £22 18-91 for (he Club. Hie usual number of imels were held during the season, ami good sport and large friends was the general rule. Kdiikihi and Ohaupo districts have stood well by the Club this year, no less than £l3 coming from them, so I hope they (especially the Kihikihi people) will be stud-ed next season, and good suitable
dates be arranged for them. After paying all the Club’s expenses to date our present credit balance stands at £22 18s 9d. I enclose my balance sheets of the Club and of the Hunt Club Races, which have been duly audited by Mr Hartly, and ere closing wish to thank especially our Master for the great assistance he
gave me tinough the season in securing subscribeis amt c illeet’ng money for me at his end of the district, and members who have helped the Club without any dunning ; also Mr Banks for co-operating with me and simplifying my business as Race Treasurer.

It was the first time they had a perfectly lucid statement of their affairs laid before them, and it reflected the greatest credit on Mr Couper. After the balance sheet had been approved and adopted, the chairman said they had had good Seerdaries before but never a better one than Mr Couper. Thanks to him the Club was now in a
flourishing condition, and he deserved their grateful thanks and commendation. They should also men iou that Blr Couper had received very material assistance from Mrs Couper and the ladies and gentlemen who had worked up the entertainments iu aid of the Club’s funds Their efforts had really pulled them out of of the fire; hut for the entertainments the Club would have been £6 in debt, so their obligations to those who hid got them up were very great. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded these ladies and gentlemen, and Blr Banks received a like compliment for his efforts as Secretary of the Hunt Club Races.—Mr Couper proposed a vote of thanks to Blr Windsor who had been instrumental iu selling members race tickets.—This was seconded by the Chairman and carried. —Mr Banks said hut for Blr Windsor’s efforts they would not have come out with a credit balance on the race meeting—Mr Windsor said it had been a pleasure to him to render the Club any assistance. Members’ List.—The list of members was then read, and Mr Banks remarked it was the largest list they had ever had. v - Prosi’eot.s For Next Year.—The chairman said the Whatawhata and Kihikihi people were keener than ever on hunting, ami by opening up new country would materially" increase the membership and prospect of a successful season next year. The chairman had a definite promise of some fiesh blood in the way of a couple of hounds from Napier. Thanks. —On the motion of Mr Douglas a hearty vote of thanks was accorded the Master. He was a thorough sportsman and put himself, on several occasions, to an immense amount of trouble. He trusted he would long occupy the position of Blaster.—Mr Windsor seconded the motion, which was carrh d by acclamation. This concluded the business.
