SUCCESS OF A NEW ZEALANDER. (Received October 14, 5.30 a.m.) Sydney, October 13. In the half mile foot race at Newcastle, M’Lauchlin, Ibo Aucklander, defeated McManus, of New South Wales, easily. The latter conceded ten yards, Time, 1 min oOsccs. McManus was favourite at 5 to 4, on. Melbourne, October 13. The cycling road race, Warnambool to Melbourne, 105 miles, was won by Niva., a local rider. Ralston, the New Zealander, from the scratch, finished fifth, making the fastest time, Ohrs OOsccs.
