Public notice is hereby given that in accordance with Section 33 of ‘TheLocal Bodies Loans Act, 1886,’ tine it is the intention of the Cambridge Borough Council to BORROW, by way of Special Loan, the sum of £6OOO : (1) For the purpose of constructing water works, erecting a reservoir, purchasing pumping and other machinery, laying down mains, and doing all works necessary for supplying the said Borough with an efficient supply of pure water, (2) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £6OOO, and it is propo.sed that the cost of raising the loan and that the interest for one year during the construction of the above mentioned works shall be pud out of the moneys to be borrowed. It is proposed that the said loan shall he for a period of 41 years and that the interest to be paid thereon is at the rate of 85 per centum per annum. (3) The amount to be set apart in each year towards paying off the loan is ten shillicgs (10s) in each hundred pounds (£100). (4) It is proposed to pledge as security for such loan an annually-recurring special rate, calculated to yield £264 per annum ; such special rate to be levied over the whole of the rateable properties witb’n the boundaries of the Borough of Cambridge ; and it is proposed to further pledge as security for such loan the revenue derivable from the full amount of the water rates authorised by Section 102 of 4 The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,’ together with the revenue to be derived from any extraordinary supply of water.
