(Ykstkai)AY, before Mr H. W. North-c-ofc, S.M.) Breach of Borough By-LAWo.-Thos. L. Saulhrey, baker, of Duke-street, was charged with having ridden a bicycle on the footpath of Yictom-street on the 16th ot list mouth, in contravention of the Borough by-laws. The information was laid by the Town Clerk. Accused p'eaded guilty aud was fined 5s and costs 7s. Tbou.bi.jc About a Hoksk.—Benjamin Garlau 1, of C-mbridgo West, was sued by Hikitanga Matthohi, of Maugatautari fir £ls or the return of a horse.. Mr Backtanri appeared for plaintiff aud Mr Hwarhiiolt lor the defendant. This was a very lengthy case, a luge number of witnesses having been examined at the Cambridge Court, held two months ago, and subsequently defendant's son, who is now i i \Vc liugton, had givin evidence in that ei y regarding Cue matter,—l he Magistrate said be cou d not understand any man who traded in any kind of animals not hj mug a lira nl that was registered, ami always used in (no position on a particular part of the animal. Judgment, was given for plaintiff for £ls or the return of the horse and £9 11 s costs.
