ENGLISH MAILS. English mails will close at Hamilton as under Date. Time. Route. Aug. 16 ... 1.30 pm. ... San Francisco Sept. 7 ... 1.30 pm. .., San Francisco J, F. Long, Fostmaster. RATES OF POSTAGE. The postage on letters and letter cards within the colony, and for the United Kingdom, Canada, Cape Colony, India, and practically all other places in the British Empire, except Australia, is now one penny for each half-onnoe. The rate to foreign countries will remain at 2Jd, and to Australia 2d, until further notice. The parcel rate to the United Kingdom is : 31b, Is; 71b, 2a ; IHb, 3.
