SHOCKING FATALITY.

one lad Killed and another INJURED.

(by telegraph—press association.) Auckland, This Day. A fatal snooting accident occured at Golden Cross, Waitekanri, on Sunday.

A boy named Heron and two Adams were out shooting with an old Enfield rifle. One of the Adams boys and Heron were sitting on the sand when the elder Adams jumped on to a log in front, when the rifle discharged through having a very weak spring. The charge struck Heron near the heart and slightly injured Adams in the face. Dr Cairns attended the sufferer, who died two hours later.
