A fICOIAI'.) was held last evening in St. Pprora Sunday School iu aid of the Workers' Guild, Tho attendance was rjood, but not aa large as might have been expected, The programme was a very pleading ono, but it was somewhat ehortenod by the absence of aeverul contributors, duo to tho prevalence of influeny.a. Tne singers were all well received, but more especially was the ease with Mrs H. Bull, of Watntiaro, and MissCueaeu. The former appeared in Hamilton for the first time, add her reception was a particularly flattering one, The programme was as follows: —Pianoforte solo, Mrs Major; song, " River of Years." Mr M. H. Quick ; sonc, ".Doris," Miss Cussen ; song, "The Carnival," Mrs Browis ; pong, "Dream Viiicen," Mrs Bull, encore number, " Coon, Coon, Underneath tho Moon :" song, " Anchored," Mr Thos. Jolly : pianoforte s(do, " Her Bright Smile Haunts Me Still," Miss Clara Holloway ; 9oi)i2, " Wake Up Little Darkey," Mrs Bull, encoruo number, *' Hudieen." A liberal supply of refreshments wa> handed round, and tho room was then cleared for dauoinc.
