Waixato Argus Officii. This Day. Messrs McNicol and Co. Refokt.—At Ohaupo, on Tuesday, there was only ft small yarding ot cattle. Prices were better than at last few sales, and mo?t of those brought forward weie sold. Very forward conditioned bullocks made £7 Us; well-bred three-year-old steers, £5 4s ; pood yearling steers, £2 St* to £2 9s ; cood steer calves up to £2 2s ; freshconditiened cows up to £4 7s; small calves, £1 5s ; strong calves (mixed), 33s to 375. A bout 3000 sheep were yarded, prices were easier than sit former sales. The ICOO Galatea wethers were a crand liue, and made from 14s 6d *o 15s lid : two-tooth lon i: wool ewes, 15s 5d ; cull lambs, 5s 9d ; fresh empty ewes, Ss 9d to 12s; two-tooth crossbred ewes (small). 123 6d ; fat lambs, lis 9d ; Shropshire rams, 2i guineas; Lincoln rams. 1 to 2 guineas ; Rnmiiey rams, 2 guineas. At Mr R. Burke's clearing sale held on his farm, NgarotO, yesterday, there was a large attendance, and Kood prices were obtained for everythiug. Double-seated buggy, £27; farm waggon, £2O; D.F. plough, £6 15s; flexible harrows, £4 12s tid ; eighteeu months steers, i'4 4s; steer calves (almost yearlings), £2 17*- ; heifer calves, £2 9s 6d ; bull calves, 5, 5£ ami 6| uuineas ; aged bull, 3 guineas. The 34 dairy cows were a choice lot, in fact it would be hard to find their equal in the district.. Competition was tond, and prices ranged frcm £4 17s Gd to £lO 17s Gd, averaginc £7. Two-year-old filly by Better Times, £37 ; mare by General Fleming and in foal, £4O : mare by Gbncer, £3B ; aged draught gelding, £2l.
