Hit Buoderick said that MajorGeneral Sir H. C. Colville was sent Home bv Earl Roberts for inefficiency in the field. He was allowed to resume his command at Gibraltar. Earl Roberts was consulted afterwards and he advised not to retain General Colville in command.
