BRITAIN & PORTUGAL.
[UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.] (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT). London, Decomber 9. The Channel Squadron, under ViceAdmiral Rawson, visited Lisbon and bad a magnificent reception. The King of Portugal toasted, " Our great and glorious ally, with whom we have an indissoluble alliance." It is significant that the visit was made prior to the Portuguese quarrel with Holland, which is based ou the procrastination of Holland when ex* Consul Potts' recall was demanded.
