Dcnkdin, This Day At Cromwell, James Ledingham, dredgemaster on the Central Electric Dredge, was charged with -the manslaughter of William Barclay Morgan on October 16th. While taking a line out in a boat Morgan was caught in the bight and dragged overboard and drowned. The Crown Prosecutor contended that the boat was not properly furnished for the work, and that there was culpable negligence. The accused was committed for trial. Bail was allowed. ,
