MAID AND MARTYR.

Maid and martyr are united (says a local exchange) iu the person of Miss Dniscilla Cunningham, a young lady residing at Selvvyn-street, Onehunga, Auckland. Prom Miss Cunningham's modest state ment it will be seen she has not reached her 18 years of age without martyrdom.

- " Although I am only 18 years old," she Baid, "I have had more troubles than moat people twice my age.- My constitution was never robust and my chest was always weak, so that I was ofteu troubled with racking coughs. Two years ago a severe attack of bronchitis sot iu which brought on consumption. I wasted away and suffered from weakening night sweats, which exhausted me and I coughed a great deal sometimes bringing up blood. Doctors treated me for over six months, describing my ailment as galloping consumption. Then I tried many patent medicines without result. One day I noticed Dr. VYilliums' pink pills advertised au a cure for consumption and I commenced them. After finishiug two boxes I felt stronger and the cough eased a little. Two more boxes removed every symptom of consumption and I am now stronger than ever I was. I cannot recommend Dr. Williams' pink pills too highly." Miss Cunningham's case and many others prove that Dr. Williams' pink pills have ofteu cured consumption by replacing the lost blood and increasing the resistant power of the lungs, so that the patient is enabled to rally from the weakness and eventually to throw it off. The diseases they have cured include paralysis, rheumatism, sciatica, amemin, rickets, dyspepsia, debility, palpitations, ladies' ailments, hysteria, skin disorders, etc. Dr. Williams' pink pills are sold by chemists and storekeepers, and by the Dr. Williams' Medicine Co., Wellington, threo shillings per box, six boxes sixteen and six, post free. They invigorate tho system after over work, worry, and indiscretions of living.
