HUNTLY ROAD BOARD.

Tub ordinary monthly meeting of the Hunlly Road Board was held in the Volnutccr Halt, on Saturday, 27th ulfc. Present : Messrs Bailey (chairman), Harris, Collins, Hubbard and the Clerk (Mr Conradi). A scheme of expenditure of thirds, amounting to £32 13s Id, was approved and signed. A petition from Mr R. Grundy and others, and a letter from Mr E. S. Wight, were read, re Kimihia Road, and the Clerk was instructed to reply that the matter would be attended to. Messrs Johu Chezne and Thos. Roberts wrote re roads to their properties Mr Lutener was deputed to report thereoa.

The balance-sheet was received from the Auditor-General, was certified and adopted, and the Chairman was authorised to sign it. A tracing and letter re Ce.netery Reserve, at Matahura, were laid on the table.

Resolved that the Colonial-Secretary be written to appoint the Board's Trustees.

Mr Lutener was instructed to lay off £2O worth of Works at Matahura, and let it on the co-operative principle.

The Clerk was instructed to notify Sergeont Webb, owner of Section 4, Taupiri, of the Board's iutcntiou to take a road through the said section.

It was resolved to apply to the Waikato County Council for the assistance in obtaining a otono quarry.

The Treasury Department notified the payment to the Board's bank account of £5(3 12s 6d, subsidy on rates. Accounts as follows were passed for payment :—W. Lutener, 12s (id ; T. Hackett, £2 Is ; Matohett. 12s; G. Hill, £2 8s; J. Smith, 12s ; W. Littlewood, £1 4s ; J. Bond, ISs ; Hika, £4.
