King Humbert's life was attempted at Naples on July 9th, though the news was suppressed. (Received August 4, 9.15 a.m.) Rome, August 3. During the singing of the Anthem at Monza, and at the same moment the fatal shot was fired, several men wearing black neckties like Bressis and otherwise similarly attired, shouted vigorously with a view to confusing the bystanders and facilitating the murder's escape. The police fiad that the conspiracy originated in America and Paris, the conspirators aiming at the death of King Humbert and others. \
