THE NEW YORK DOCK FIRE.
(by telegraph.—press association). Wellington, Last Night. Mr Seddon cabled to the President of the United States as follows :—" The people of New Zealand deeply deplore the great loss of life and property through the destructive fire at the Hoboken Docks, and extend to your great nation their sincere sympathy." Mr Seddon has received a reply expressing the President's heartfelt thanks for the message of condolence.
