WHATAWHATA.
Milk Suppliers’ Meeting.— Mr Weatly Bpragg, manager of the New Zealand Sairy Association, met the Whatawhata milk suppliers iu the Public Hall, at 4 p.m. on Thursday. There was a good attendance, Mr W. W. Higginson being j voted to the chair. Air Spragg stated that he had called tftfl milk suppliers together, so as to lay before them as early as possible, the prices and terms the Association were prepared to give during the ensuing scamn. Br efly, they would be the same as for the season now closing. Continuing, Mr Spragg stated that owing to the prolonged drought, which caused a diminished turover, the last season’s business * had not been so satislactory, as expected, but they hoped for better seasons to come, and there would be no reduction in the price of milk if he could help it. The milk suppliers expressed their satisfaction at the prices offered and stated their intention to increase the supply. It transpired at the meeting that the average percentage for milk at the Whatawhata creamery for the past season was 3'78, being the second highest average of all the creameries. Owing to the small milk supply no bonus would be obtained. However, several new suppliers are likely to come forward next season, iu the meantime the creamery is having a thorough oveihaul at the hands of Mr, John Leighton, the popular manager.— Own Correspondent).
