HARVEST FESTIVAL AT OHAUPO

Last Sunday a harvest thanksgiving service was held in the Oliaupo Anglican Church. There was a large congregation, and the church w'as nicely decorated with fruits and flowers. Vegetables, bread and honey also formed a conspicuous part in the offerings. Archdeacon Willis olKciated, and preached an effective and appropriate sermon, taking as his text John vi., “27. “Labour not f r the meat that perisheth.” After the service was over it was decided by the committee to send the fruit and vegetables to the Women and Children’s Homes in Parnell, Auckland.
