FEDERAL BRIGADE.
THE QUEENSLAND CONTINGENT. MORE HORSES REQUIRED IN . AFRICA. (Received Jan. 11, 10.40 p.m.). Brisbane, January 11. A second contingent, consisting of 144 men and 6 officers, have been sworn in. The officer commanding the Queenslanders in South Africa has cabled for permission to nurchase forty horses to replace those that died from horse sickness.
