Fe.;d regularly, hut never overfeed ; cease feeding when tha fowls cease to run for it. {). Scatter tho food on the ground when the weather will permit. 6. Feed mixed grain alternate ; corn one day, oats next, wheat next, etc. 7. Allow adult fowls freedom aseirly n the morning as they desire. 8. Keep hens with small chicks in coops, well covered, until the chicks are three weeks old. 9. Feed the chicks morning, noon and afterLOon. 10. Mix red pepper with mo-ning soft, food. 11. Grease the hens well, under the wings, breast and fluff feathers as soon as the chickens are taken off, with ointment made of lard aud carbolic acid, one tablespoonful of lard to ten drop* of acid.—A.
