BANK STOPPAGE.
[UNITED PRESS association], (by electric telegraph—copyright), * London, December 20. Tiie London and Northern Bank, which at the commencement of this year took over the business of the Leeds Joint Stock Bank, had suspended payment. The stoppage is attributed to defamatory attacks on the institution.
