slade's team v. abawas. BfaUTIFOL weather was again experienced on Saturday last, and the cricket matches under the Humilton Association were continued. Slade's team, which haa up to the present proved invincible this season, met the Arawas, aud still maintained its proud position. The Arawas went in first, atul their total (47) was a most encouraging one. Of this number Piatt contributed 11 and Dean 12. Slade's replied with 94, exactly double. Browning played a splendid innings for 44, when he was well caught by C. Holloway. His exhibition of batting was well worth seeing, and he gave few, if any, chances. Speight and Windsor also batted will, and hcored 19 apiece. The Arawas then required 48 to save an inning's defeat. In their second attempt they put together 51 runs for the loss of eight wickets, the stumps

being drawn at 6.30 p.m. Campbell and Johnson did nearly the whole of the bowling for the wiuners, while Mahon and Hammond were the most successful on the opposing side. The following are the scoreß :

The Interprovincial match, Otago v. Hawke's Bay, was commenced ut Napier on Saturday, and was concluded ye ter« day. The visitors won the toes and went first to the wickets, putting up 222 runs before being disposed of.
