Waikato Argus Ofjice, Wednesday. MESSRS McNICOL AND GO'S OHAUPO SALE. On Tuesday at MoNicol and Co's yards over 300 head of cattle were yarded, nearly all in forward condition and of a good class. About 35 dairy cows were offered, but there is uct now such a demand for dairy stock as some short time ago. Young stock and grown steers are in demand at fair prices and have an upward tendency, nearly every beast selling under the hammer, the rest selling privately. The following are the quotations. Dairy cows from £4 to £4 15s, not many sold ; three and a-half year-old steers good condition, £4 to £4 15s; grown bullock, very forward from £6 5s to £7 lis ; two-year-old steers, £2 10s to £2 15s; mixed calves low condition, 23s 6d ; store heifers, £1 16s to £2 10s ; store cows, £2 15s to £3 9s ; fat cows, £4 7a 6d ; sheep, not many yarded, shorn ewes with lambs at side, 9s 7d. ROTORUA MARKET REPORT. Mb W. T. Raymond Reports.— At the mart, Rotorua, to day, poultry were required, and sold as follows : Hens, Is 6d ; roosters, Is 9d ; ducks, Is 8d ; geese, 4s 6d.
