TJILECTORAL DISTRICT OF J WAIKATO. Election of a Member of the House of Representatives, NOTICE OF POLLING-DAY. In pursuance of " The Electoral Act, 1893," and its amendments, I, JULIAN FRANCIS LONG, Returning 0 lieer for the Electoral District of Waikato, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing 'late the 22nd day of November, 1899, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an ELECTION will be held for the return of ONE qualified Person to serve as a MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES for the said District, and that the last day for receiving NOMINATIONS OF CANDIDATES will be the 29tii DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1899, not later than five o'clock p.m., and that the POLL (if necessary) will be taken at the several Polling places of the said Distiict on the 6th DAY OF DECEMBER, 1899 Every man desirous of becomintg a Candidate must bo nominated by not less than two electors of the District by nomination-paper, as prescribed by Sectiou 75 of " The Electoral Act, 1893," and its amendments, delivered to the Returning Officer, Ham lton, on or before five o'clock p.m. on the 29th day of November, 1899. Simultaneously with tie above Election and in pursuance of " The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act Ameudment Act, 1895," and " The Licensing Poll Regulation Act, 1899," and in the manner provided by "The Electoral Act, 1893," and all other Acts relating thereto, I hereby give notice that a LICENSING POLL will bo takea for the Licensing Distiict of Waikato on the following proposals : 1. That the number of licenses existing in the District cojtinue. 2. That the number of licenses existing in the district be reduced. 3. That no license be granted in the district.
