Brisbane, November 26. The bodies of a young man and woman, tied together at the wrists and waists, were found in the river at Eooggera. A note was left with their clothes, stating that they had decided to die together. Perth, November 25. The Council has rejected a motion for submitting the Draft Commonwealth Bill to the people. Melbourne, November 25. A severe shock cf earthquake was felt at Port Arlington and adjoining the township, pottery being shaken from the shelves in some houses. Two pressmen boarded the Nineveh, which had a case of small-pox on board, and have been quarantined. The smallpox patient is a steerage passenger. It is a modified form of the disease. The man came from near Johannesburg with a large number of other refugees.
